The goal of ConnectedCare and Cliniserve is to improve communication between patients and nursing staff while at the same time optimizing processes and relieving the burden on nursing staff. The two managing directors report on the joint solution approach and why teamwork is so important. The cooperation between the companies is no coincidence: while ConnectedCare offers a modular, individually configurable patient platform, Cliniserve focuses on relieving the burden on nursing staff with a task management solution.

Your business is going well, you would have done fine without each other. Why the cooperation?

Philipp Schmelter, CEO ConnectedCare: The synergies for our merger were obvious: same industry, same goal and two complementary approaches. With the ConnectedCare platform, we offer hospitals the digital infrastructure that enables sustainable process optimization. The extension with Cliniserve CARE enables the digital accompaniment of care via the mobile assistant FLOW, so that patients can communicate digitally with nursing staff and other stakeholders. With regard to the KHZG, the combination of the solutions offers broad coverage of patient-centric support facts with simultaneous benefits for the nursing care.

They have combined their solutions. How does the connection of the tools work?

Julian Nast-Kolb, CEO Cliniserve: The focus is on integrating our ServiceCall into the ConnectedCare patient platform. The module gives patients the opportunity to transmit their concerns in a targeted manner via existing interfaces to our mobile care assistant FLOW, which can also be used for internal care process optimization. A wide variety of information, such as location parameters or treatment-relevant data, can be transmitted via ConnectedCare in order to sustainably relieve the burden on the nursing staff. Hospitals benefit from a structured daily routine on the wards and an interlinked range of services for patients and staff.

What is the added value for hospitals and patients?

Philipp Schmelter: It enables hospitals to deploy staff in line with their qualifications and relieve the burden of day-to-day care. Patient concerns are automatically delegated according to competence profile, area and staff workload. Nursing staff can then prioritize the concerns in the Cliniserve FLOW app and save themselves duplicate walking distances when processing them. ConnectedCare also provides hospitals with a platform that structures data from various apps and services. The platform is expandable and enables the hospital to provide patients with even more targeted information. The result: the optimal connection between patients and caregivers and the basis for a sustainable increase in efficiency.

What message would you like to leave hospitals with for possible KHZG projects?

Julian Nast-Kolb: Take a sustainable approach to the topic of hospital digitization and KHZG. Take advantage of government funding for solutions that can grow with you and your needs in the future. And most importantly: include the relief of the nursing staff in your projects.
