Our story: Where we come from

Innovations garnered attention

Branch relaunch, successful introduction of the B-Home series, and the first cloud-controlled devices: BEWATEC garnered attention with various innovations. 2002 was also the year the company won the Red Dot Design Award for the first time.

First own device series

In 1999, BEWATEC produced its first own device series, BEWATEC MediTec LCD TVs. Starting in 2002, they were also offered with Internet.

Foundation of the company

On October 23, 1995, Philipp Schmelter founded the BEWATEC company. The objective was to bring entertainment and communication directly to the patients’ beds via flat screens.
